Had an absolutely lovely evening with Giles Timms, a candidate to join JMC at AUBG yesterday when he shared his professional experience with our faculty and students and gave an invaluable advice to all our future designers.

Today Giles will host a portfolio workshop in ABF #6306. Arm yourself with your works and march to ABF at 7:30 pm to get a feedback from a professional graphic designer. Those who do not have a portfolio can still come and participate in the process or just observe.

A cautionary tale: Brian Williams "misremembers" enemy fire 07/02/2015

Journalists should:
-Take responsibility for the accuracy of their work.
-Verify information before releasing it.
-Remember that neither speed nor format excuses inaccuracy.
-Provide context. Take special care not to misrepresent or oversimplify in promoting, previewing or summarizing a story.
-Gather, update and correct information throughout the life of a news story.
-Never deliberately distort facts or context, including visual information.
-Respond quickly to questions about accuracy, clarity and fairness.
-Acknowledge mistakes and correct them promptly and prominently. Explain corrections and clarifications carefully and clearly.
-Expose unethical conduct in journalism, including within their organizations.
-Abide by the same high standards they expect of others.
