🎻 Midori, Once More at School! 🎻

It has become something of a tradition to welcome, one of the world’s greatest violinists and pedagogues, back to our school.

And what an inspiring tradition it is!

This past weekend, on 19 and 20 September 2026, Midori gave numerous masterclasses to the Musica Mundi School violin class, bringing an extraordinary energy and enthusiasm that could be felt throughout the school.

Midori’s artistry, knowledge, professionalism, and genuine love for what she does were present in every lesson, every phrase, and every demonstration. Her generosity as an artist and pedagogue continues to inspire our students and enrich their musical journey.

Thank you, dear Midori, for inspiring our students once again! ❤️

Musica Mundi School at the “Orchidées Ceremony” of the Province of Walloon Brabant
Musica Mundi School was delighted to participate once again in the Orchidées Ceremony organised by the Province of Walloon Brabant.

The Orchidées Prizes, awarded annually by the Province, honour inspiring individuals and organisations from the economic, environmental, sporting and cultural sectors.

Our connection with this wonderful initiative has grown over the years:

In 2019, Musica Mundi School received an Orchidée Prize.
In 2022, a Musica Mundi School alumnus was awarded the Cultural Prize.
In 2025, MMS students had the honour of performing during the ceremony.
And this year, in 2026, our school’s co-founder, Hagit Hassid-Kerbel, served as a member of the jury that selected the 2026 laureates.

The Orchidées Prizes and ceremony are a wonderful way for our Province to recognise and celebrate the people behind meaningful initiatives and inspiring success stories within our community.

Our sincere thanks to the members of the Provincial College, led by its President, Mr. Tanguy Stuckens, for organising this important event year after year and for continuing to celebrate the people who contribute to the vitality and richness of our Province.

🦁🎉 Happy Birthday, Waterloo Lion!!! 🎉🦁

The 200th anniversary of the creation of the historic Waterloo Lion was celebrated last night, September 12th, 2026.

And what a celebration it was!

Dozens of participants brought history to life, portraying soldiers, cavalrymen, politicians, and other personalities connected with the fascinating history of this iconic monument.

The atmosphere of celebration was heightened by several musical interludes performed beautifully by our students: chamber music, solo performances, and the Musica Mundi School Choir, under the guidance of their choirmaster, Xavier Devillers.

The choir sang “Dominique” in honour of the singing nun who lived and composed at the Fichermont Monastery, the very place where our school is now located.

More than 1,000 spectators attended this wonderful birthday celebration, which ended, of course, with an impressive fireworks display to the tune of Stevie Wonder’s “Happy Birthday.” 🎶

Bravo to all our students, who performed so beautifully last night! 👏
