Bedrijfsbezoek bij Loma Air ✈️
Onze derdejaars Bachelor Aviation ontdekten hoe Loma Air – een toonaangevende speler in Europa – revisie en onderhoud uitvoert op zuigermotoren voor kleine vliegtuigen. Het bedrijf, opgericht in 1979 en gevestigd in Heist-op-den-Berg, is gespecialiseerd in motoroverhaul, inspecties en reparaties. Met meer dan 40 jaar ervaring en EASA Part-145 certificering staat Loma Air bekend om zijn precisie, kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid. Bovendien is het één van de grootste geautoriseerde distributeurs van merken zoals Lycoming en Continental Aerospace Technologies.
Voor onze studenten was het een unieke kans om te zien hoe theorie en praktijk samenkomen in de luchtvaartsector. Een inspirerende ervaring die nog meer motiveert om een carrière in de luchtvaart uit te bouwen!

As third-year students in the Bachelor of Aviation programme, we are proud to be part of the very first cohort of this exciting new programme.
During our visit, we discovered how Loma Air – a leading player in Europe – performs overhaul and maintenance on piston engines for small aircraft. Founded in 1979 and based in Heist-op-den-Berg, the company specializes in engine overhauls, inspections, and repairs. With over 40 years of experience and EASA Part-145 certification, Loma Air is renowned for its precision, quality, and reliability. It is also one of the largest authorized distributors of brands such as Lycoming and Continental Aerospace Technologies.
For us, it was a unique opportunity to see how theory and practice come together in the aviation industry. An inspiring experience that motivates us even more to pursue our careers in aviation!
