We have the pleasure to share that our Erasmus Mundus Master in Smart Cities and Communities has been accepted for funding by the European Culture and Education Executive Agency (EACEA), for the period 2023-2029, under the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme, 'Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters' call 2023 (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-PEX-EMJM-MOB)!
The Master will be organized by UMONS (Belgium), International Hellenic University (Greece), Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (Spain) and University of Vaasa (Finland). Heriot-Watt University (United Kingdom), who was a main partner from 2017 to 2023, will become a SMACCS Associated Partner.
Next cohort of SMACCs students will start their studies in 2024-2025.
Student scholarships will be available, based on availability of funds and excellence of applicants. More information to come very soon (stay tuned by consulting our website www.smaccs.eu).

A group of SMACCs students took part in the 10th edition of the Smart City Expo Word Congress in Barcelona 2021, as winners of the Green Connection Challenge in Lublin within the Citython 2021, organised by EIT Urban Mobility
Professor Luis Del Portillo from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) had the pleasure to accompany the students to the Congress.Great experience, indeed!!

Next week our Smaccs students will attend to this conference
"IDOM.Sustainability.Architecture and Urban Design". That will take place on Tuesday 26th of January from 12:00 to 13:30 by Mcs in Engineering Francisco José Sanchez
IDOM will show the main activities done by Idom regarding architecture and urban design, mainly from the point of view of engineering and sustainability point of view. These activities are carried out by a multidisciplinary team made of Engineers and Architects. It is frequent that some students of Grade and Master are working a Idom’s headquarters in Bilbao with those specialists, and in some cases real works are used to base the grade’s or master’s final projects.
