Creating a nature mandala is more than making something beautiful. It is an invitation to slow down, observe, connect and learn through nature.

By collecting natural materials, we practise noticing and curiosity. By creating together, we explore collaboration, communication and shared space. And by letting go of what we gather, we learn about impermanence, change and the natural cycles around us.

Alone or together, the process helps settle the thoughts, soften the body and mind, and bring us back to the breath — to the moment that is.

A simple practice of learning with nature, through nature, and from one another. 🌿

For us, it’s not really about making the perfect fairy house. 🍄🌿

It’s about giving children the freedom to wonder, explore and create with what nature provides. A piece of moss becomes a bed, a twig becomes a table, a seed becomes a treasure.

They make decisions, exchange ideas, help each other and discover that their own imagination can transform the forest floor into a little world of its own.

That’s the kind of learning we love at Woudvrouw. ✨
