This study shows how AR facilitates GR binding through chromatin remodeling (assisted loading), driving synergistic transcriptional responses linked to improved patient outcomes. [MUST READ] Working memory capacity (WMC) depends on dopamine (DA) signaling and is impaired in schizophrenia. A new study shows that D1 receptor stimulation modulates WMC via cAMP/PKA in the fronto-striatal circuit: high doses impair WMC through the mPFC, while low doses enhance it via the striatum and improve deficits in a schizophrenia model. The Bioruptor enabled precise phosphoproteomic profiling, illuminating DA’s molecular impact and guiding targeted therapies.
