🎉 HEC Liège is pleased to announce this year’s Research Award recipients: Wouter Torsin, Nathalie Crutzen, and Emeline Leloup.

Congratulations to all three for their outstanding contributions and dedication to advancing our research community!
The awards recognize achievements and contributions over the 2024–2025 period across the following categories:

• Outstanding Publisher – Awarded to Wouter Torsin for his publications in top-tier journals such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis (listed in the Financial Times ranking) and the British Journal of Management, among others.
• Knowledge Exchanger – Awarded to Nathalie Crutzen for her research collaborations within a growing international network, including co-authors from universities in Germany, Australia, the Netherlands, Italy, and Portugal, among others, as well as for her success in securing research funding.
• Rising Star – Awarded to Emeline Leloup for her promising academic trajectory. She is soon to defend her dissertation, following a successful PhD that includes a publication in a top-tier journal such as the European Journal of Operational Research, as well as research stays that have led to ongoing collaboration with the University of Porto.

Emeline will defend her thesis, entitled: "A three-dimensional loading vehicle routing problem with split pickups, promised service periods and time windows under real-time disruptions” on June 29 at 15:00.
Her research was supervised by Professors Thierry Pironet and Celia Paquay

Jenny will defend her thesis, entitled: "Air Transport Ground Operations Management: Digital Twin Building Blocks for Real-Time Monitoring and Process Optimization" on June 22 at 15:00.

📣 CFA scholarships

The University of Liège is part of the CFA Institute affiliation program. The CFA Institute recognizes that the Master in Management, with a specialization in Banking and Asset Management organized by HEC Liège covers more than 70% of the curriculum of the CFA exam.

👉 So, we benefit from some student scholarships to take the CFA exam. The scholarship reduces the cost of the exam to $600.
