☕️ Welcome to our ISL Café!

Today, our Dutch class students had the opportunity to put their serving skills into practice at the ISL Café. They warmly welcomed and served drinks and delicious treats to our friends from the neighbouring care home, all with big smiles on their faces. 🥰

A huge thank you to our wonderful students for their enthusiasm and hard work, to our parent helpers for their support, and to Home Vogelzang for joining us and making the day so special. We loved having you visit! ❤️

A massive congratulations to our wonderful footballers who competed in today’s multi-school football tournament! ⚽️☀️

Our students persevered through extremely hot weather, demonstrated incredible teamwork, and supported one another throughout the entire event — including showing fantastic sportsmanship towards teams from other schools. We are so proud of the resilience, determination, and kindness they displayed all day long. 👏💙

Our Grade 5/6 students recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to the Parlamentarium in Brussels! 🇪🇺 Through interactive exhibits and audio-guided tours, they learned more about the formation of the European Union, the role of the European Parliament, and how it all works together.

Before catching the train home, they also had the chance to explore some of Brussels’ most iconic sights, including the Royal Palace, the Belgian Parliament, and the Royal Library. 🏛️✨

It was a brilliant day filled with learning, exploration, and a deeper understanding of the place our students call home. 🇧🇪

A couple of weeks ago, Grade 5/6 enjoyed an unforgettable guided tour through Leuven, discovering its rich history and cultural significance along the way.

Highlights of the day included visiting the Cathedral, learning about the fascinating history of , and exploring the stories behind some of Leuven’s most iconic landmarks. 🏛️✨

We even had beautiful weather! ☀️

On Tuesday, our Grade 1/2 students explored the university library in the heart of Leuven 📚✨
They enjoyed a guided tour, including going up the tower to see the beautiful view, and discovered the incredible history that is right on our doorstep.

Even today, the library is full of life—students preparing for exams and researchers accessing the vast array of materials carefully stored and preserved there.

Did you know that the tower is 48m high and if all of the library’s books, manuscripts, and archives were laid out, it would be 48km long?!?! Such an inspiring place to learn!

Three years ago today, we had our first day of school in our new location ✨ To meet the growing number of students at ISL, we had to grow our building as well! This place has truly become home and we are so grateful to be thriving here! We hope you enjoy these throwback moments 💙📸
