Games, workshops, creative activities and shared moments may seem simple, but they are often the building blocks of trust, belonging and opportunity. Wonderful to see children, young people and families welcoming the team back and continuing this shared journey.

🇲🇰 Taking learning beyond the classroom in Ohrid, North Macedonia.

Our Flagbag partner Eco - Logic brought their StreetSmart flags outdoors, where 30 fifth-grade students explored the theme "My Safe Place: Calmness, Imagination and Resilience."

Through drawings, reflection and discussion, the children shared what helps them feel safe and calm, from family and friends to nature, books and music.

🇵🇱☀️ We love seeing our Mobile Schools out on the streets during summer.

In Racibórz, our friends at Stowarzyszenie na Rzecz Rozwoju Dzieci, Młodzieży i Rodziny "Pomocna Dłoń" are giving their all to connect with children and young people in their community. Through play, conversation and a consistent presence, they create spaces where children can simply be themselves.

🇮🇳 At Ek Tara's Mobile School in Kolkata, students recently tackled collaborative challenges that required listening, sharing ideas, and solving problems together.

Through playful activities, they experienced a valuable lesson firsthand: we achieve more when we work as a team.

This summer, we’re taking a moment to introduce some of our incredible partners around the world - organisations that turn daily connection into real impact with children and young people in street situations.

Meet Child Action Lanka! 🇱🇰

Since 2022, their team has been using the Mobile School to engage with children and young people in vulnerable situations across Sri Lanka. Through a holistic approach focused on education, health, nutrition and child protection, Child Action Lanka works alongside children, families and communities to promote children's rights and create opportunities for a brighter future. Child Action Lanka describes its mission as protecting disadvantaged children and supporting their basic needs, rights and interests through education, health and nutrition initiatives.

The StreetSmart FlagBag keeps growing! 🌍

A few months after its launch, the StreetSmart FlagBag is already finding its place in a growing number of countries and contexts. From community spaces in Bolivia to youth work initiatives in Benin, Madagascar and North Macedonia, practitioners are using the FlagBag to spark conversations, create meaningful interaction and engage young people wherever they are.

What they appreciate most? Its flexibility. The FlagBag makes it easier to bring the StreetSmart approach into different environments without compromising on participation, reflection and dialogue.

🇬🇭 While our partner Street Children Empowerment Foundation (SCEF) is now actively using the Mobile School in Accra, we'd like to look back at the start of this exciting partnership.

From June 22 to July 1, we launched our very first Mobile School partnership in Ghana. Together, SCEF staff, volunteers and management explored how the Mobile School can strengthen their outreach work with street-connected children and young people. Because meaningful street work starts with listening, learning and building on local knowledge.
