Edgar Morin, an unclassifiable interdisciplinary thinker who fought in the resistance against Na**sm before becoming a pioneer of film studies, ecological thought, founder of complex thought, and author of a monumental La Méthode, along with more than 100 books, passed away last Friday at the venerable age of 104. An exemplary life continues to inspire and his work will remain vital for the future--including his essential contribution to mimetic studies. We remember him fondly et avec amitié.

Terribly saddened by the passing of our dear friend, William Connolly. A political theorist qua seer who inspired generations across disciplines to fight for democracy, pluralism and the environment as well one of the first contributors to mimetic studies. His critique of fascism remains more relevant than ever and will help new generations to keep affirming what he called entangled humanism. Rest in peace, dear Bill--you will be much missed but your work lives on.
