Here you can keep up-to-date about research, seminars and other news from the Division of Bioeconomics at KU Leuven. The Division of Bioeconomics has three main research lines:
1. poverty reduction and economic growth in poor countries and the sustainable and efficient use of natural resource to realize pro-poor growth;
2. the link between economic and ecological models by refining functions of so

cio-economic drivers that are used to model resource use change and changes in ecosystem services, and how institutions (policy decisions and regulations) affect this link. Our staff contributes to the Bachelor and Master in Bio-Science Engineering and in Geography. We offer advice to both national and international NGOs, governmental agencies and organizations.
