New COSIC research reveals major security weaknesses in ’s , the global standard for detecting Child Sexual Abuse Material ( ). For the first time, the algorithm is fully described and its vulnerabilities exposed.

The team shows that can leak partial visual information, be bypassed through minimal image changes, trigger false positives, and even produce identical hashes for different images. These attacks run in seconds on a standard laptop.
