Hello everyone,
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to learn more about transnational childhoods and families? Check out Odisee's International Summer School of 2024 (https://www.odisee.be/opleidingen/summer-school-transnational-childhoods-europe ), co-organized by IOM Belgium and Luxembourg from the 24th of June until the 3rd of July in Brussels.
In our globalized world, families are geographically dispersed due to economic or forced migration. In some families, young persons live abroad to study or work, whereas in others, parents migrate and send money back home. The dynamics of transnational families are changing rapidly, but how?
From the 24th of June until the 3rd of July, this Summer School will offer you a chance to interact with experts, practitioners, and peers who share your interest in the complex and diverse realities of families living across borders. You will explore topics such as migration, identity, culture, education, and social work in relation to transnational families. You will also visit some inspiring projects and organizations that work with transnational families in Brussels.
The Summer School is open to students, postgraduates, young professionals and researchers from the field of social work and counselling, as well as from many other disciplines and backgrounds.
If you are interested, don't hesitate to apply soon, as the spots are limited.
