Al voor het zevende jaar op rij ben je welkom op Bijloke Wonderland, een zomers cultuurfestival op de bruisende Bijlokesite in Gent. Verwacht prikkelende concerten bij zonsopgang, gratis zomerbar-concerten, theater, dans, beeldende kunst & rondleidingen. Studenten van KASK & Conservatorium presenteren tijdens het festival werk in hun natuurlijke habitat.⁠

Het programma wordt gepresenteerd door organisaties die thuis zijn op de Bijlokesite: Muziekcentrum De Bijloke, STAM, laGeste, KASK & Conservatorium, KIOSK, Ontroerend Goed, LOD Muziektheater, B'Rock Orchestra & SPECTRA ensemble.

[EN] For the seventh year running, you’re welcome to Bijloke Wonderland, a summer cultural festival at the vibrant Bijloke site in Ghent. Expect thrilling sunrise concerts, free summer bar concerts, theatre, dance, visual arts and guided tours. During the festival, students from KASK & Conservatorium will present their work in their natural habitat.⁠

Artistiek onderzoeker Mohanad Yaqubi werd geselecteerd voor het Locarno Film Festival. Hij presenteert er de film 'Revolutionaries Never Die' en neemt daarmee deel aan het programma 'Concorso Cineasti del Presente'. Van 5 tot 18 augustus dingt deze film mee voor de vier prijzen in bovengenoemde categorie.

[EN] Artistic researcher Mohanad Yaqubi has been selected for the Locarno Film Festival. He will be presenting the film ‘Revolutionaries Never Die’ there, as part of the ‘Concorso Cineasti del Presente’ programme. From 5 to 18 August, the film will be in the running for the four awards in the aforementioned category.

Tijdens Graduation 2026 stonden we opkomend muzikaal talent in Minard, Ha Concerts en De Centrale. Afstuderende studenten jazz, pop, en muziekproductie sloten meesterlijk hun opleidingen af met een diverse waaier aan afstudeerconcerten. ⁠

Morgen is het tijd voor de modeshows, voor het eerst in de tent van Gent Jazz. Als voorsmaakje kan je al het werk van enkele masterstudenten bezoeken op de Graduation Expo. In de Graduation bookshop vind je een catalogus met werk van alle studenten, van eerste bachelor tot en met de masters. Het boek — en andere merch — zal ook beschikbaar zijn op de shows. ⁠

[EN] Tomorrow it’s time for the fashion shows, taking place for the first time in the Gent Jazz Tent. As a teaser, you can already view the work of some of the Master’s students at the Graduation Expo. In the Graduation bookshop, you’ll find a catalogue featuring work by all students, from first-year Bachelor’s students right through to Master’s students. 🌸 campagne: Liv Meysman, Maïté van Genugten & Mira Keygnaert

𝘈𝘴 𝘐𝘧 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘜𝘴, de tentoonstelling samengesteld door studenten van curatorial studies, is nog twee weekends open. Op 20, 21, 27 en 28 juni ben je van harte welkom om ze te bezoeken in Kunsthal Gent. ⁠

Laag na laag heeft het gebouw sinds zijn ontstaan als 13e-eeuws karmelietenklooster een rijke geschiedenis opgebouwd, waarbij het in de loop der tijd achtereenvolgens dienst deed als opslagplaats voor opera-decors, archeologisch museum, volksmuseum en kraakpand.⁠

Vanuit deze veranderende context brengt de tentoonstelling historische objecten uit het STAM (Stadsmuseum Gent) en het Huis van Alijn opnieuw onder de aandacht, naast hedendaagse werken van Danai Anesiadou, Pélagie Gbaguidi, Mélina Ghorafi, Leto Keunen, Susu Laroche, Pàpoo Thibau en Julie Vanlook.⁠

[EN] 𝘈𝘴 𝘐𝘧 𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘚𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘜𝘴, the exhibition curated by students of curatorial studies is open for another two weekends. On 20, 21, 27 and 28 June, you are very welcome to visit it at Kunsthal Gent.⁠

Layer upon layer, the building has accumulated histories since its origins as a 13th-century Carmelite monastery, shifting through time from opera storage to archaeological museum, folk museum, and a squatted site.⁠
⁠
From this evolving context, the exhibition reintroduces historical objects from STAM Ghent City Museum and Huis van Alijn, alongside contemporary works by Danai Anesiadou, Pélagie Gbaguidi, Mélina Ghorafi, Leto Keunen, Susu Laroche, Pàpoo Thibau and Julie Vanlook.⁠

Op 27.06.26 ben je welkom voor twee modeshows op de Bijlokesite. Bachelor- en masterstudenten presenteren er hun eindejaarscollecties met live muziek in de tent van Gent Jazz. ⁠

Wil je je al voorbereiden op de modeshows? Je kan een glimp opvangen van de collecties, want momenteel presenteren de bachelorstudenten silhouetten in 35 etalages in het Gentse stadscentrum.
