Graag nodigen we je uit op de expo - Een verhaal over Sparren en Bergen...

1 januari 2025 was voor Marnix Everaert een belangrijke datum. Die dag stopte zijn opdracht als leerkracht Vrije Grafiek aan de Academie Beeldende Kunst DKO Gent en is na 32 jaar lesgeven de weg vrij om nieuwe wegen te bewandelen.

In juli 1984 studeerde Marnix af aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten Gent. Tussen die dag en nu liggen 40 jaar. De tentoonstelling Een verhaal over Sparren en Bergen... toont werk uit deze tijdspanne, omdat het goed is om aan de hand van vroeger werk de beelden van nu beter te begrijpen.

De tentoonstelling opent op donderdag 24 april om 19u00 met een lezing en daarna om 20u00 is er een receptie.

Uw inschrijving is nodig, gezien het beperkte aantal plaatsen voor de lezing.
De vernissage en tentoonstelling gaat door in exporuimte Kamer108 in de afdeling Vrije Grafiek van de Academie voor Beeldende Kunst Gent, Offerlaan 3 te 9000 Gent.

I met Phil during a stay at The Elizabeth Foundation of the Arts NYC, NY. At that moment he was their COO and master printer/studio director at their Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop.
I can strongly advice this workshop since I know what Phil is capable of.
This workshop is really geared towards practicing artists that are looking to add something new to their repertoire, or just want a week to experiment in a supported way in a beautiful place.
Phil wil focus on helping each artist make a small body of work and leave inspired. The fee covers accommodations, lunch, dinner, and the studio. It's non-toxic, a great deal, super fun, and a full artistic recharge. Something to do during Summer holidays?
