The last honey is harvested and the bees get to lick out the frames.

In total mayhem all surrounding colonies rush in to get as much honey as possible to the hive. And in flight it gets quite bumpy...

Evrn though we harvest the honey, we make sure each colony has enough honey to get through the winter.

No sugarwater at our colonies

The end of summer is nearing for the bees and getting nectar now becomes more difficult.

After the honey harvest, the honey frames are given back for the bees to lick up the frames of remaining honey.
Its absolute mayhem, the bees rushing in to get the remaining honey back.
In about 2 hours more than sixty frames have completely been cleaned up.

Don't worry, during harvest i make sure the bees have rnough honey to get through the winter. No sugar feeding here!

Catching a swarm, unfortunately, due to rain, i was too late. The majority of bees had keft and only a small pack of bees remained. I took some in my hands to look for the queen, but could not find any. However, the bees remained on my hands raising their butts releasing their pheromones calling their queen I guess?
