✨ Our WeDecolonize Zine is here!

How do you capture an entire year of learning, questioning, creating, struggling, laughing and building community together? We tried. 🤎

Our zine is a little piece of collective memory from our 2025–2026 WeDecolonize year. Inside, you’ll find reflections from our board members, our favourite books from the Decolonial Library, poetry, puzzles, thoughts on academia and decolonization, and pieces about care, belonging, resistance and finding your place. 🌱

But more than anything, these pages hold parts of WeDecolonize that don’t always make it onto Instagram: the conversations, questions, challenges, small victories and people that shaped our year.

As we close this chapter, we’re incredibly proud of everything we built together and excited for what the next group of students will make of it. 🫶🏽

🌍 Our Project Manager recently presented at the IMISCOE Annual Conference in Girona, Spain, alongside researchers from the ENGINE project

She spoke about the importance of building and sustaining safer spaces for racialized students in higher education, and what it means to challenge Eurocentric knowledge systems through care, community, and collective knowledge production. 📚

It was inspiring to share WeDecolonize's work with an international audience and to receive such positive feedback. 🌱

A big thank you to the ENGINE project, Prof. Dr. Ilke Adam, Dr. Amal Miri, and everyone who joined the session and contributed to the conversation. 💛
