🇧🇪🇧🇪Last week, from 17th to 21st November, our students travelled to Diest, located in Belgium, as part of the Erasmus+ project carried out together with six students from . Some of the main topics our students have worked on their projects have been: European citizenship, natural resources and its preservation. In addition, several interesting visits have been made both in Diest and the surrounding areas to gain an in-depth understanding of natural heritage. They visited Webbekom’s Broek, EcoTron in Maasmechelem and the European Parliament in Brussels.
It was a really nice experience that our students will never forget and we are looking forward to having them in Vélez Rubio in March!

Este año también participamos en los Desde el damos a conocer la movilidad de larga duración que este año hemos puesto en marcha con nuestra acreditación Erasmus en el ámbito escolar. Dos alumnos de Austria han venido a nuestro centro durante 5 semanas y este es su testimonio.

En el mes de enero, les toca a nuestras alumnas de cuarto de ESO, Elena y Elvira. ¡¡¡Están deseando vivir esta experiencia!!!

Hoy, además del curso 25/26, ha dado comienzo la acogida de dos alumnos austriacos en nuestro centro que van a llevar a cabo una movilidad de larga duración como parte de su proyecto Erasmus+.

Llegaron el pasado sábado y asistirán a clase con el resto de compañer@s en 4ºESO.

Esperamos que sea una experiencia inolvidable. 🇦🇹❤️🇪🇸

Last week, our colleagues Sonia and Iván had the opportunity to visit the school BHAK/BHAS in Oberpullendorf in a jobshadowing mobility in adults’ education.

During the stay our teachers have learned more about teaching practices and new digital tools used in our adults lessons. Making our students be aware of properly using digital tools is essential to foster motivation towards learning.

Thank you to L’Istituto “Fossati-Da Passano”, in La Spezia, Italy, for the incredible opportunity given to our colleagues Inma and Macarena to take part in a job-shadowing experience at your school.
The knowledge and inspiration gained during this week have led us to reflect on new ways to bring important values into our classrooms—such as European citizenship, sustainable tourism, and cultural heritage.
We return home with meaningful learning and a renewed commitment to shaping a more engaged and forward-thinking educational community.
We truly hope this is just the beginning of future collaborations together

Last week, 2 teachers of Velad al Hamar team had the opportunity to visit the school for visual impaired students “Veljko Ramadanovic” in a jobshadowing Erasmus programme. This school also works like a Resource Centre (a centre for support of visually impaired children educated in Serbian primary, secondary schools pre-schools) and it is located in Belgrado.
During the stay our professionals could observ a wide range of facilities and activities.
The first day started with a guided tour, showing them all the adapted resources they have. On the second day they focused in individual therapies such a speech therapy or mobility. On the third day they attended to a regular classes like biology, English or art classes. On the fourth day they could visit two nearby schools. Finally, on the last day, they shared a little presentation and learnt how the resources centre works.

Last November, our colleagues Miguel and Nuria attended a training course in Lisbon on artificial intelligence and digital tools for the classroom. 💻🎒👩‍🏫👨‍🏫
It was an amazing experience and now, we are going to put them in practise with our students.

Last July, our colleagues Sonia and Ivan took a training course focused on climate change and how to make the center more sustainable. The course was in the city of Reykjavik 🇮🇸

They have been able to visit renewable energy extraction centers, ecological industries and take note of how to implement activities and projects in our institute that help train our students in environmental education.
