The journey of a device doesn't have to end when a business is done using it.

We were delighted to welcome the Puratos team to our Circular Economy Hub in Syokimau for a conversation about building a more sustainable future together.

By exploring an annual IT asset disposal partnership, we're taking another step toward giving technology a second life reducing e-waste while creating more opportunities for digital inclusion.

Because responsible technology doesn't end with disposal.

It begins with reimagining what's possible.

Lore Verbeeck and Sirine Sarroukh, Business Engineering students from VUB, joined Close the Gap Kenya for their international internship and have since been immersing themselves in our work with startups and entrepreneurs.

Working alongside our Impact Accelerator team, they’re gaining firsthand experience of the challenges and opportunities entrepreneurs navigate while contributing their skills, ideas and fresh perspectives to the ecosystem.

Their journey has taken them beyond theory into conversations with founders, engagement with our teams, and a closer look at how businesses can create meaningful and lasting social impact.

We’re glad to have Lore and Sirine as part of the team and look forward to seeing the ideas, learning and connections that come from this experience.

Great ideas deserve the right environment to grow. As part of our Impact Accelerator, we recently sat down with the founders behind Mewalatec an AI-powered vocational e-learning startup to learn more about their vision, explore opportunities for collaboration, and discuss their journey into our startup portfolio.

Mewalatec is building accessible, mobile-first learning solutions designed to equip more people with practical, job-ready skills.

These conversations are at the heart of what we do. Through our Impact Accelerator, we're continuously on the lookout for bold founders tackling real-world challenges with innovative solutions.

By providing mentorship, strategic guidance, and access to a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, we help early-stage startups turn promising ideas into sustainable impact.

Have an idea with the potential to create meaningful change? We'd love to hear from you.

What begins as a company's retired laptop doesn't end in storage or e-waste. It is securely refurbished, given a second life, and delivered to communities where technology creates opportunities to learn, work, and grow.

There's no single path to digital inclusion. What do you think makes the biggest difference? Cast your vote below.

Every day, we work with communities where digital inclusion means something different.

For some, it's access to a device.

For others, it's learning a new digital skill.

For many, it's the partnerships that make these opportunities possible.

If you had to choose just one, what creates the greatest long-term impact?

A young person shouldn't have to leave their community to access the opportunities of the digital world.

Three solar-powered DigiTrucks are set to support 12 secondary schools, four innovation hubs, and Kasulu Teacher Training College across Kigoma, expanding access to technology and digital skills where they are needed most.

Because digital inclusion isn't just about technology it's about empowering people with the skills and confidence to shape their own future.

Together, we're building communities where opportunity reaches everyone.

As the IncluCities training comes to a close, we're reflecting on more than what was achieved. We're reflecting on what we learned.

One win: We strengthened the capacity of people committed to making their communities more inclusive through digital solutions.

One lesson: Lasting inclusion isn't built by technology alone. It grows when communities, local leaders and partners work together around a shared vision.

Every training, every conversation and every collaboration reminds us that meaningful change happens when people are empowered to shape solutions that work for their own communities.

As we look ahead, we'll carry these lessons into every new partnership and every new initiative.

Because building inclusive futures is a journey of continuous learning.
