Next to the actions and the release of the ERC new resuscitation guidelines, we continued with our regular lives - and our regular Train the Trainer courses 😏 Because life doesn’t wait, and cardiac arrests keep happening... we need to keep training ourselves!

In October, we trained 𝟵𝟱 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 who will pass this knowledge on to young people in their schools and clubs. 💪

💡 𝟮 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁:

📞𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝟭𝟭𝟮 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗻𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲/𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 — 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 check for normal breathing. Don’t wait to confirm abnormal breathing before calling!
💨 𝗜𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱, give 30 compressions + 2 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘶𝘦 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘴. 𝗜𝗳 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱, do 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 without stopping.

👧 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀:

❤️ Start CPR training early (ages 4–6): every child can learn to save a life!
🏫 Add annual CPR lessons to school programs.
💰 Consider low-cost manikins (like our Minipop 😉).
🌍 Educate the whole community on cardiac arrest awareness.
💻 Embrace blended and online learning, games, augmented reality to make training fun and flexible.
🗣️ Include feedback & debriefing, as they are key for learning and confidence!
