🌍🇪🇺 CESI Youth at the Brussels Civic Incubator Lab

On 24 June, CESI Youth took part in the Brussels Civic Incubator Lab, an inspiring event focused on one of the key challenges for Europe’s future: competitiveness.

Our Youth Representative Antonello Pietrangeli joined the discussion alongside experts including Laszlo Andor and Fabian Zuleeg, engaging directly with young participants in a dynamic speed-dating dialogue format.

Throughout the event, young people shared their concerns and ideas on five crucial areas for Europe’s competitiveness: Defence, Tech, Biotech, Trade and Sustainability.

For CESI Youth, it was a valuable opportunity to bring the voice of young Europeans into the debate and contribute to shaping policy solutions for a stronger, more resilient and competitive Europe.

A big thank you to Stand Up for Europe , and all partners involved in the CERV-funded COMPASS project A Seat At The Table, JEF Brussels for creating this space for dialogue and youth participation.

🚀 Today marks the start of CESI Summer Days 2026!

Today in Brussels, CESI Summer Days 2026 kicks off under the theme "From the Pillar to a Quality Jobs Act."

The event will bring together policymakers, trade union representatives, social partners and experts to discuss one of the EU's most important upcoming social policy initiatives: the Quality Jobs Act.

The programme features high-level speakers from the European Parliament, the European Commission, the EESC, EU-OSHA and the European trade union movement.

✨ Members of the CESI Youth Board will also be attending, highlighting the commitment of young trade unionists to shaping the future of work, social rights and youth participation across Europe.

CESI Summer Days 2026 Join policymakers, public authorities representatives, social partners and the scientific community to discuss the upcoming Quality Jobs Act

🧠🇪🇺 CESI@noon focused on one of the most pressing challenges facing today’s workplaces: psychosocial risks at work.

Held in the framework of European Mental Health Week 2026, the debate brought together policymakers, experts and workers’ representatives to discuss how the European Union can better protect workers’ mental health and promote healthier working environments.

The discussion featured contributions from Estelle Ceulemans, Member of the European Parliament, Maggie Langins from WHO Europe, Hans Dubois from Eurofound, representatives of the European Youth Forum, and CESI Youth representatives Antonello Pietrangeli and Ester Amores Lizcano.

For CESI Youth, mental health at work is a key component of quality employment. As stress, burnout and workplace harassment continue to affect workers across Europe, stronger prevention measures, effective social dialogue and ambitious European action are needed to ensure safer and healthier workplaces for all.

CESI Youth is proud to have contributed to this important discussion and will continue advocating for a Europe where workers’ wellbeing and mental health are recognised as fundamental workplace rights.

🇪🇺🤝 CESI Youth at ANPE’s X National Trade Union Congress

CESI Youth took part in ANPE’s X National Trade Union Congress, held in Madrid on 22-23 May, an important gathering for the Spanish teachers’ union and for the public education sector.

At the heart of the Congress was the confirmation of Francisco Venzalá González, re-elected as National President of for a second four-year mandate. His re-election ensures continuity in ANPE’s work to defend the teaching profession, strengthen public education and improve working conditions for school staff.

The Congress also provided an opportunity to reinforce the European dimension of trade union cooperation. Alongside CESI - Independent Trade Unions Secretary General Klaus Heeger, representatives of several CESI member organisations were present, including CSIF, ANP, SATSE, ANIEF and Valorian.

Isabel Garcia, Vice-President of CESI Youth and representative of ANPE, did the honours on behalf of the host organisation. Among the participants was also Alessandro Albergoni, member of the CESI Youth Board, further underlining CESI Youth’s commitment to fostering dialogue among European trade union organisations.

For CESI Youth, participating in the Congress represents another step towards building a stronger, more inclusive European trade union network, with young representatives playing an active role in shaping its future.
