From 6 to 17 February 2023, we will organise the third edition of our online Jean Monnet Winter School on EU Policy-Making. The focus area of the Winter edition will be digital rights and diplomacy, touching on policy discussions related to freedom of expression, data protection, disinformation resilience, and platform responsibility.

We’ve just published a Draft 2022 Winter School programme! From 7 to 18 February 2022, we will provide our participants with a crash course in European Union Policy-Making, and the focus will be on digital rights and diplomacy. But if you’re thinking of upgrading your expertise to boost your career, why not join the Summer School on EU Policy-Making at the Brussels School of Governance and the Diplomatische Akademie Wien? The intensive two-week programme is held one week in Brussels and one week in Vienna from Monday 6 to Friday 17 July 2022. The theme in 2022 will be ‘Analysing civil rights in today’s EU’. Our intention is to have a face-to-face Summer School, but if need be we will provide a highly interactive online alternative. The Brussels School of Governance is pleased to announce the appointment of Elie Perot as the new Director of its Postgraduate Certificate in EU Policy Making programme. Elie is a PhD Researcher at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) of the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG-VUB). He holds a Master in Public Affairs from Sciences Po Paris and a M.A. in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe, Bruges. Previously, Elie has carried out research work for the Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique (FRS) on nuclear deterrence and missile defence systems. In September 2017, he was awarded the "Young Researcher Prize” at the annual symposium of the French Association for Defence and Security Law (AFDSD). His research focuses on NATO, the EU and the return of collective defence as a strategic challenge in Europe.
Elie is looking forward to supporting all the students and colleagues who are part of the Postgraduate Certificate programme!

More than thirty international students participated in this year’s edition of the inter-university Summer School on EU Policy-Making. 🇪🇺 This two-week intensive programme was held online from 5-16 July 2021.
The Summer School on EU Policy-making attracts students and young professionals who wish to broaden their knowledge of European institutions, European law and the European decision-making process in general. The summer school can be taken as a stand-alone course (5 ECTS) or as part of the Post-Graduate Programme on EU Policy-Making.
In 2021, the theme of the Summer School was analysing civil rights in today’s . Packed with interactive seminars, the programme focused on civil rights, touching on policy discussions related to human security, migration, anti-discrimination and diversity.
