Here is our Mini PG weather forecast.🙂
It will be scorching hot on Friday😰, 36°C, and much more livable on Saturday and Sunday.

Do not worry about potential rain. Chances are it will be a mere drizzle and last a few minutes. That has been our recent experience.

Please don't forget to bring a food or drink item from home.
To my German country folks: I would love some dark bread, maybe with seeds.❤️

Today I have 3 requests:

1. I want as many of you as possible to come with a prepared contribution to make our event as interesting as possible.
For example: a presentation on any interesting topic - an introduction to your language - a language comparison - a game - a song to teach - a fun sport - a joint gig with a friend.

2. For my own 2 gigs I need:
- Someone who is good at ChatGPT
- A few people who can recite a fun or nonsensical rhyme from their childhood in their own language with an explanation of vocabulary and context.

3. If you are travelling straight from home, please bring some goodies (not necessarily sweets!) to share with us and nicely enhance our spread.

It will be very hot during our Mini PG 2026 in Kraainem/Brussels! At least 30°Celcius (86F). And no A/C in my home!🥸
Our heat is dry, not muggy. That's something.

We will be spending a lot of time in the garden, on my shaded porch and with parasols.
Therefore, come prepared with hats, light clothing, sunscreen.
The upside: So far no mosquitoes in sight!

Finally we will not be so many, around 10 people plus some drop-in visitors as several had to change their plans or just cannot make mid-August.
More time to get to know each other!❤️🩵💛

Dear Polyglots,

for those of you flying into Brussels, please be aware
that Brussels-South Charleroi is 1 hour away from Bruxelles. There are Flibco buses (buy online beforehand!) And trains going to Bruxelles-Midi from where you can take the metro, change at Arts-Loi) to Kraainem (Metro Kraainem).

For those arriving to Gare du Nord (North train station):

It is a huge train station You will need help finding the bus stop.
Take Bus 81 marked "Leuven", get off in Kraainem at the Dezangré stop. Easy to recognize by a beautiful small church opposite.
From there you have a 10-15 minute walk to my house.
