Miguel Copetto, Diretor Executivo da APESP, foi convidado a assumir o cargo de Diretor Tesoureiro da nova Administração da EUPHE, no mandato 2024-2026 do Presidente António Alonso. A eleição ocorreu durante a Assembleia Geral da EUPHE, realizada ontem na Universidade Alma Mater, em Maribor, Eslovénia.

A APESP felicita Miguel Copetto por este novo desafio, no qual trabalhará, juntamente com outros representantes europeus, para fortalecer as instituições de ensino superior não estatais em toda a Europa.

The Comparative Study of EUPHE about non-state higher education in Europe now available in English

"EUPHE supports strongly the Statement of the Bologna Follow up Group on the consequences of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine.
Non-state Universities as a vivid expression of the European civil society`s values in higher education depend in a particular way on freedom, autonomy and humanity, which excludes violence and war as a means of enforcement of national interests. EUPHE-Members are also committed to support the measures in practice, mentioned bei the Bologna Follow UP Group“
EUPHE supports strongly the Statement of the Bologna Follow up Group on the consequences of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine.

The first comprehensive report on Non-State Higher Education in Europe, appearing in September 2021. It shows the astonishing development of state-independent universities since the turn of the century, which is based on the committment of European civil society for higher education and has made them for more and more students and faculty a real alternative to state-academia

🇩🇰The Danish Folketing has passed a resolution at the beginning of June, which reads in its essential part:

«The Folketing expects that the leadership of the universities ensures the self-regulation of scientific practice through critical debate. This means that one-sidedness is avoided, science does not come in a political guise and that it is not possible to evade systematically justified professional criticism. "

EUPHE welcomes this clear statement in favour of academic freedom, scientific independence, open debate and against the raging spirit of „Cancel Culture“ in European universities.
