The FilmEU Film Festival 2026 is open for submissions! Hosted at the LUCA campus Brussels (June 23–25, 2026), the festival features three evenings of screenings, conversations, and fresh cinematic voices from across Europe.

✨ Following a successful first edition in Sofia, the festival continues to spotlight emerging filmmakers from the Filmeu - European University alliance and partner institutions in Ukraine and Armenia.

Een inspirerend gesprek over systeemverandering, onderwijs en de kracht van samenwerking.

Join us on 25 March at Sint-Lukas Brussel, LUCA School of Arts for the Supported Studio Master Classes – From Creation to Presentation.

This one-day research- and practice-oriented event brings together artists, curators, educators, and studio coordinators working in or researching supported studios, and is also of interest to LUCA (PhD) students.

Supported studios are professional art studios that offer artistic guidance to artists with intellectual, psychological or social vulnerabilities, while recognising them first and foremost as autonomous artists.

The programme explores the journey from artistic creation to presentation, highlighting different practices and perspectives around supported studios.

: Supported Studios — From Creation to Presentation

On 25 March 2026, LUCA hosts a full-day master class exploring how artistic practices developed within supported studios can move confidently from the studio to the public sphere, without being framed through care narratives.

For artists, curators and facilitators working with artists in care contexts, this master class offers concrete tools and critical perspectives on authorship, collaboration, visibility and ethical presentation.

Also especially relevant for:
🟠 Artists and facilitators working in supported studios
🟠 Curators, exhibition makers and art professionals
🟠 Researchers, lecturers and students in art, curatorial studies and art education
🟠 Cultural organisations and social-art practitioners

Through keynotes, panel discussions and workshops, international contributors from ActionSpace (London), Prinzhorn Collection (Heidelberg), Atelier 10 (Vienna) and curator Pierre Muylle (Bruges) will share concrete practices and critical insights.
