This heat cannot stop the creativity of our students! 🔥🔥
Innovation was on full display today at the STEM Discovery Fair, where grade 7 and 8 students proudly showcased a range of exciting projects, inventive designs, and creative solutions to real-world challenges, developed throughout this semester’s STEM Discovery class 🔬
Students and visitors ranked each project on its innovation, usefulness, and endorsability, and with the summer heat in mind, several projects focused on sustainable ways to stay cool ☀️🧊
Huge congratulations to all participants!
And could we order some shirt coolers? 👀

This morning, our Grade 6 students transformed into their chosen historical Creative Icon and presented their choice to fellow Grade 5 students, teachers, and families 🎨
Our learners showcased the remarkable individuals they have been researching this term, sharing the stories of innovators, artists, thinkers, and changemakers who have shaped our world 👩🏽🎨
By imaginatively stepping into the shoes of their chosen icons, students explored how creativity flourishes when our inner spark meets the world around us. They investigated how culture, environment, and available resources influence ideas, and how attitude, imagination, and knowledge fuel creativity and innovation.

Today, the Grade 1 play took us on an adventure in outer space!
Students wrote their own story, created the stage decoration, and choreographed their epic attempt to bring the moon back to Earth using a recyclable rocket, which they also engineered themselves! 🚀🌕
After a successful landing back on Earth, the rocket began a new journey – of being transformed into aquariums, beehives, and new vibrant works of art 🖼️
Concluded by a special singing finale, this out-of-this-world performance was an inspiring showcase of imagination, storytelling, and sustainability, motivating us to celebrate our planet and our creativity to the moon and back ♻️

ISB is more than a school! ✨It's a community full of opportunities to learn, explore, create, and grow.
Last week, we celebrated the incredible learning, creativity, and dedication taking place through our ISB Plus programme. Students showcased their talents through ballet and modern dance performances, as well as live kickboxing and chess demonstrations. Visitors could also explore an interactive gallery featuring work from a wide range of activities, including jewellery, photography, cooking, textiles, comic book design, science, and arts & crafts. 🎨🎭♟️🥊
With over 70 activities running each season – and around 150 throughout the year – students aged 2.5 to 18 have countless opportunities to discover new interests. There truly is something for everyone.💙
The learning doesn't stop when the school year ends! ☀️ This summer, students can continue exploring, creating, and having fun through ISB Summer Camp, with a wide range of exciting activities for different age groups.
Registration for Summer Camp is now open! 🎉 Click here: https://www.isb.be/student-life/camps/summer-camps to find out more and secure your place today.

Here is the story of Oren Jacobi, Class of 1993, and how ISB saved him.
After moving from Australia to Brussels at a young age, Oren went through a difficult transition in a local school. Everything changed when he joined ISB.
Surrounded by a diverse and open-minded community, he finally found something he had been missing: a sense of belonging.
For Oren, ISB became more than a school. It became a place that felt like home.
Thank you, Oren, for sharing your ISB journey with us!

Through research, negotiation, and compromise, delegates deepened their understanding of international cooperation while developing empathy, critical thinking, and public speaking skills.
From protecting cultural heritage to addressing humanitarian challenges and envisioning hopeful solutions for the future, students demonstrated a strong commitment to creating a more thoughtful, compassionate, and connected world 🌍

Today, our Lower School Portrait Exchange Exhibition celebrated two beautiful end-of-year milestones 🌟
Through creativity, collaboration, and care, our Grade 2 and 6 learners came together to honour one another during this meaningful moment of transition. Grade 2 students created portraits of Grade 6 students as they prepare to move up to Middle School, while Grade 6 students made portraits of their younger peers to celebrate another great year of learning and the start of a new chapter 🎨
Together, the exhibition showcases the diversity, imagination, and growing artistic talents of our students. It is a joyful reminder of how creativity can bring people together and transform shared spaces into places of curiosity, reflection, love, and celebration 💗
