My name is Yolanda and I’m the founder of The Cozy Studio.
Since I was very young I knew that I wanted to create my own company at some point in my life, however, there was always fear of failure and excuses to not make it happen. I always said to myself that I didn’t have the resources to create something and put myself out there and I have struggled between what I wanted to create and the lack of confidence to do it.
At the beginning of 2019, I decided that I wanted to try and learn how to make candles for my own personal use as a way of finding some peace at home, some relaxation after a really long and stressful day. I have always loved candles and the sense of intimacy they can create for our home so it was the perfect hobby for me to include into my life.
After a few weeks of experimenting with different smells I asked to myself “why don’t I open my own candle store?” and I decided to jump all in and take the leap without listening to the side of me that’s always scared.
One of the things that I had very clear in my mind was that I want to give you a candle that you can rely on when you come home after a long day at work or school, or just to enjoy in the morning. I want you to feel relaxed, I want to give you a moment when you can just let go of the day or look forward to start a new one.
The Cozy Studio was born by my own dream of creating my own company and the desire of giving people the opportunity to find the peace they need at home so they can welcome the next day with open arms.
