European Schoolnet is a network of 34 Ministries of Education from across Europe, leading educational

European Schoolnet's mission is to support Ministries of Education, schools, teachers, and any stakeholder involved in the transformation of education processes in Europe to improve the quality of education for all.

The organisation represents the voice and interests of its members - Ministries of Education from more than 30 European countries - and offers them a space to debate, exchange best practices and collaborate to find common solutions to key societal challenges impacting education together.

💬 Professional dialogue was at the heart of the SMART SCHOOLS Greece study visit to Florence.

Meeting with Italian teachers and school leaders gave the delegation the opportunity to see how REFLEX supports reflection within schools—not to compare performance, but to help school communities identify strengths, discuss challenges and plan their next steps.

📣 European Schoolnet has been appointed to the European Commission’s STEAM Executive Panel!

We’re delighted to contribute our expertise to the European Commission’s new STEAM Executive Panel, bringing together representatives from education, business and social partners to help shape the future of STEM and STEAM education in Europe.

Through Scientix EU – the Community for Science Education in Europe – European Schoolnet has been supporting teachers, schools, researchers and policymakers to strengthen STEM education and promote STEM careers for more than 15 years.

🚀 We look forward to working with partners across Europe to strengthen STEM and STEAM education, support curriculum modernisation, and help equip learners with the skills they need for the future.

Teachers, how do you assess digital skills in your classroom?

The European Digital Education Hub (EDEH) wants to hear directly from you! Ahead of the upcoming European Commission guidance on digital skills assessment, we are inviting educators to share their classroom realities, challenges, and insights.

🚀 Who can join?
Primary, secondary, and initial VET teachers of any subject, as well as teacher trainers.

When are the online sessions?
☑️ Session 1: Tuesday, 27 October 2026 (late afternoon, 1–1.5 hrs)
☑️ Session 2: Thursday, 5 November 2026 (late afternoon, 2 hrs)

Your practical feedback will directly help ensure the European guidance is usable, inclusive, and grounded in real-world teaching.

The third EVIDALI Policy Learning Lab brought participants to Trentino for two and a half days of meetings, school visits and discussions on data-informed decision making.

Participants met educators from five schools in Trento and Rovereto, discussed preliminary results from the DALIS survey and reflected on barriers and enabling factors in their own education systems.

🌍 This International Day of Democracy, let’s recognise the important role teachers play in helping young people understand, experience and participate in democratic life.

📊 A recent International Civic and Citizenship Education (ICCS) study found that nearly ¾ of students believe democracy is the best form of government.

At the same time, students’ civic knowledge varies significantly depending on gender and socio-economic background.

For teachers, this raises an important question: How can we ensure every student has the knowledge, skills and confidence to participate actively in democracy?
