CHAARM is an acronym for Combined Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Microbicides. It is a large scale collaborative project co-funded by the European Union under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) for Research and Technological Development. It started on the 1st of January 2010 and will run until December 2014 for 60 months.

Thanks to the pressure ONE members helped apply, they added an incredible $7.5 billion to the pot. That’s enough to save up to 6 million lives over the next 5 years. Wow.
