OPEN CALL: STUDIEBEURZEN COLLEGIO DEI FIAMMINGHI
1. Collegio dei Fiamminghi
Het Collegio stelt zich tot doel om in het kader van de Europese samenwerking en rekening houdend met de principes van de culturele autonomie, de culturele relaties te bevorderen tussen Italië en België en de andere territoria. Dat staat te lezen in het testament van de stichter, Jean Jacobs. Jacobs streefde ernaar om jaarlijks enkele Vlamingen te laten studeren aan de universiteit van Bologna.

Concreet worden er nu elk jaar twee studiebeurzen aangeboden. De studenten of jonge onderzoekers in kwestie krijgen een gratis verblijf ter beschikking gedurende 8 maanden (vanaf midden september/oktober) en een beurs van 7000 euro.
2. Procedure
Op de VLIR raad van 28 februari 2002 werd beslist om voor de selectie van de kandidaten de volgende procedure te hanteren:
a. Voordracht via het rectoraat van de instellingen (door te sturen naar de VLIR) van maximaal
2 kandidaten per instelling, vergezeld van een dossier dat onder meer de volgende elementen
bevat: een curriculum, het studie- of onderzoeksplan en eventuele aanbevelingsbrieven.
b. Selectiecommissie:
• De dossiers worden door VLIR per email doorgestuurd naar de commissieleden.
• De kandidaten worden gerangschikt volgens de kwaliteit van het ingediende dossier, beoordeeld met inachtneming van de toe te passen criteria en voorwaarden inclusief
een korte motivatie.
• Indien de voorstellen van de commissieleden niet overeenstemmen, organiseert de
VLIR een vergadering met de commissieleden.
• Bij overeenstemming van de voorstellen van de commissieleden gaat het dossier naar
VLIR-raad/bureau.
• Het voorstel bestaat uit het aantal kandidaten dat door het Collegio kan worden
gefinancierd plus eventueel twee reservekandidaten.

Tutech Innovation organizes an online research management training on 12 and 13 June 2023.
This interactive workshop is designed for early-stage researchers (>2 years PhD) and covers the topics of exploitation of knowledge and entrepreneurship, acquisition of grants, intellectual property rights and the management of interdisciplinary projects.
The participation fee is €500 plus VAT (not covered by VUB).

EUTOPIA invites you to take part in a pilot ‘Innovation in Social Sciences and Arts Research’ online workshop on 30th November 2022 (9am-12:30pm GMT (London)). To register for this event please click here.
Dr Bridget Sealey will deliver an introduction to the fundamentals of innovation in the social sciences, arts and humanities research and will offer pointers to resources and examples of best practice to help further development and learning. This half-day workshop is open to PhD students and Early Career Researchers from relevant disciplines across the alliance. The key objectives of the workshop are to:
1. Provide an introduction to the fundamentals of research commercialisation in the arts, humanities and social sciences.
2. Build the awareness and confidence for commercialising the arts, humanities and social sciences within the EUTOPIA community.
3. Highlight resources and platforms for commercialization of social science, arts and humanities.
4. Inform the EUTOPIA project team’s understanding of needs and capacity within the community.
Participants will be asked to complete some short assessment questions before and after the workshop to gather feedback to inform EUTOPIA’s innovation strategy moving forward.
