4 months into my “new” life in SoCal and I have the pleasure of working on my first major project : the popular sit-com Black-ish!
Was invited to watch the taping of their father/son basketball game and met most of the cast and crew. Wonderful family feeling on that set!

Another GREAT Intro Class. 12 started... 12 finished. I think that might be a record !

I am humbled and honored. Still one week to go and "Our Town" is SOLD OUT !

AMERICAN ACCENT TRAINING and CHARACTER MOVEMENT

Two new courses at the FLANDERS ACTING STUDIO
with CHRISTOPHER MORRISON

CHARACTER MOVEMENT - illuminates acting by teaching students how to make physical choices that lead to grounded emotional moments. Pulling on techniques from Viewpoints, Improvisation, Image Work, Dance, Theater and Film this class is guaranteed to take an actor to the next level in their work wether they are just beginning their training or are working professionals.

AMERICAN ACCENT TRAINING - for non-native English speaking actors who would like to facilitate a flat, standard American accent on camera. This class will focus both on on-camera performance and voice/accent training. Any actor wishing to get more work in English, or to transition to the American market will benefit from this class.

CHRISTOPHER MORRISON is a director-writer-actor, has worked on over 100 films and theatrical productions and is a distributed film-maker, as well as a story editor and script consultant for Hollywood. He has worked with Emily Deschanel, Dan Folger, Lindsey Lohan, Keith David, Zakes Mokae, and Diane Ladd.
Christopher wrote and directed the award-winning short film, “...less than kind”, which premiered out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival and is distributed by OUAT! Media. He has been commissioned for seven screenplays, multiple shorts, and plays.
In his theater career he has worked with Cirque du Soleil, The Berkeley Repertory Theatre and The Huntington Theatre Company. He is co-founder of Impact Theatre in Berkeley, California, now in its twentieth season. His plays have been produced in Northern California; Chicago; and Melbourne. His directing has been called “A brave move towards a different style of theatre,” and Cirque du Soleil called him “A huge asset to the creative process.” His works have appeared in over 15 festivals on three continents.
Now living in the heart of Europe, his career continues already having been commissioned for three more features, given notes to a tentpole Belga Films project, and had a short film screen at the BIFFF film festival.
In January 2017, CHRISTOPHER will be directing the feature film, “Joanne”, in Belgium.
His students can be seen television and film worldwide, on tour, on Broadway, as well as Juilliard, L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, The California School for the Arts and NYU Tisch, just to name a few.

We're looking for an actor / actress that's enthusiastic to bring the story to the screen! We're doing the video production for a mobile application about the city of Ghent. Via the application, the visitor will be able to watch videos that provide historical information, accompanied by funny anecdotes about all the attractions the city has to offer.
We’re creating a new, visual and interactive way to discover the city. A videoguide with the finesse of a personal guide! Want to be part of this project?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and spontaneous presenter (m/f) that speaks fluent English (native or native-like), is interested in the city's history and far from shy doing his/her thing in front of the camera.
The recordings will take place in April/May spread over three to four days in the city of Ghent.

OPEN AUDITIONS
TARTUFFE: A NEW AMERICAN SATIRE

The ATC will produce this fall “Tartuffe: A New American Satire”, an original adaptation of Molière’s satirical comedy written by Jake Brandman and directed by Jeremy Zeegers. This version sets Tartuffe as a candidate in the Republican primaries for the presidential election.

The play requires 9 actors to play the following roles:
- Mrs Pernelle : a woman aged 70+
- Olga: a woman aged between 45 and 65.
- Tartuffe: a man aged between 40 and 70.
- Elmer and Clint: two brothers aged between 30 and 50.
- David: a man aged between 18 and 30.
- Val: a man aged between 18 and 30.
- Mary: a woman aged between 18 and 30. Mary and David are siblings.
- Doreen: a woman aged between 25 and 50.

All characters must sound convincingly American except for Doreen who is a servant born outside of the USA and who may have any accent. Actors need to consider their appearance rather than their actual age to match the characters. Ageing makeup will likely be used for the role of Mrs Pernelle.

Rehearsals will take place from 14 April to 28 June. After the summer break, they will resume on 4 September. The play will be performed at the Warehouse Studio over two weeks from the 27th of September to the 8th of October.
