💡INTEC Dissemination Event in Italy | 22 April 2026
"ECEC staff without borders: the European future of In-service training in the Intec Project"
The 22 April we co-hosted with Fondazione Bambini Bicocca the Final Dissemination Event of the INTEC project at the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca. What a day it was! More than 80 educators, researchers and professionals came together during the day to explore the future of Early Childhood Education and Care in Europe.
The morning session gave participants a deep dive into the INTEC European in-service training model, presenting the Transnational In-Service Training Curriculum (TITC), the five training courses developed across partner countries, and the innovative learning pathways designed to support the continuing professional development of ECEC professionals.
The afternoon brought also a lively and thought-provoking exchange on internationalisation practices and strategies for educational services, and the opportunities offered by European programmes for early childhood settings, and the future scenarios ahead for ECEC across Europe — also open to an online audience.
A big thank you to Prof. Luisa Zecca (Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca), Tecla Morettin (Fondazione Bambini Bicocca), Maddalena Cocco (Fondazione Bambini Bicocca), and Nicola Catellani (SERN) for leading such a rich and inspiring day! 🙌

💡INTEC Final Dissemination Event

🎓 On Thursday, 16th April 2026, UVic hosted the dissemination event of the project "INTEC: Developing an Innovative In-Service Training Model for ECEC Staff" at the Miramarges Campus in Vic.
📚 The event was an important opportunity to share the main results of the project, including the processes and products developed to support the continuous professional development of ECEC staff at European level. Participants were introduced to the key aspects of the TITC document (Transnational In-Service Training Curriculum)📄, as well as to the five training courses designed and implemented in the different partner countries throughout the project.
🌍 The session also highlighted the importance of Internationalisation in Early Childhood Education and Care, encouraging professionals to strengthen their European dimension and actively engage in future training and cooperation opportunities.
👏 A big thank you to UVIC-UCC for organising this valuable moment of exchange and dissemination, and to all participants for their interest and contribution!

💡INTEC: Final Dissemination Event in Latvia
On Friday, May 8th, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the final seminar for the European project “INTEC: Developing an Innovative In-Service Training Model for ECEC Staff” will be organized by our Latvian project partner RTU LA (Riga Technical University Liepāja Academy) and held at the Liepāja Education Department (📍Peldu iela 5, Liepāja). The primary theme of the event is the "Development of an Innovative Training Model for Preschool Education Specialists: Social and Green Sustainability in Education".🌱📗
The conclusive event will be dedicated to presenting the continuous professional development model designed during the project for preschool education specialists, with a special focus on social and green sustainability in educational practices. During the meeting, the new transnational training program will be introduced, and national and international best practices for implementing sustainability in early childhood education will be actively discussed. Furthermore, project participants will share their real-world experiences and stories 🌍, guided by expert speakers Vineta Pole and Jana Grava from RTU LA.
It is a unique opportunity for preschool teachers, school educators, educational institution managers, methodologists, and other interested professionals who wish to explore innovative professional development tools and connect over the importance of sustainability in education. 📚🍃

💡INTEC: Final Dissemination Event in Italy
On Wednesday April 22th, 2026, the final event “Educators Without Borders: The European Future of Training in the INTEC Project”, of the Erasmus+ KA2 project “INTEC: Developing an innovative IN-service Training model for ECEC Staff”, will take place at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
The day will be divided into two sessions and will focus on the evolution of training for early childhood educators in Europe. During the meetings, the European in-service training model developed during the project will be presented, highlighting the needs identified, the methodological choices adopted, and possible strategies for the internationalisation of educational services.
It will be a valuable opportunity for professionals in the sector to exchange views on the skills required today in increasingly complex, interconnected, and multicultural contexts. The event will be led by Professor Luisa Zecca from the University of Milano-Bicocca, Pedagogist Tecla Morettin, from the Bicocca Children's Foundation, and Dr Nicola Catellani, Director of SERN. The seminar will also offer a concrete overview of international collaboration opportunities for educational services and of the future challenges facing education in Europe.
The afternoon session will also be accessible online 💻 for those who are unable to attend in Milan.

💡INTEC: Final Dissemination Event in Spain
On Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at 5:30 PM, the closing event of the European project “INTEC: Developing an Innovative In-Service Training Model for ECEC Staff” will be organised by our Spanish project partner Fundació Universitària Balmes - University of Vic and held at the university itself.
The event will be dedicated to presenting the continuous training model developed during the project for early childhood (0-6 years) education professionals. During the meeting, the new Transnational In-Service Training Curriculum (TITC) will be introduced, and practical guidelines for planning internationalisation projects and establishing networks with other educational centers will be provided. Furthermore, real experiences of European mobility, such as job-shadowing, will be shared with the participation of speakers from UVic and guests from IE Josep Maria Xandri.
It is a unique opportunity for directors, coordinators, and educators in the 0-6 years stage who wish to discover new professional development tools, boost the international dimension of their educational centers, and connect with European colleagues.

Today at the INTEC Winter School, participants focus on Diversity, Inclusion and Social Justice, exploring frameworks and approaches that support equitable learning environments for all children.
The programme also includes a visit to the Migration Museum, offering additional insights and perspectives to support meaningful professional reflection.

📍 Day 1 | INTEC Winter School in Brussels
Today marks the beginning of the INTEC Winter School for pedagogical coordinators in Brussels.
The programme starts by introducing the course framework and the NICCO methodology (Narrative Interdisciplinary Collaborative Coaching), designed to support reflective practice, peer learning and continuous professional development in early childhood education and care.
A strong start to a week dedicated to learning, exchange and innovation in ECEC.

📅Saturday, on February the 8, our partner Bambini Bicocca started the pilot phase of the Inservice Teacher Training Course on STEAM addressing the theme of transdisciplinarity and the link between 3 ‘languages’*: music, mathematics and robotics education! 🎵🧮🤖
Teachers were involved in hands-on games, crossing the fields where mathematics music and ER meet to create immersive, engaging and innovative learning and expression experiences.
