Minister van Justitie Koen Geens kondigt de oprichting van een internationale Engelstalige handelsrechtbank in Brussel aan. Die rechtbank, die “Brussels International Business Court” (“BIBC”) zal heten, zal internationale handelsgeschillen tussen bedrijven behandelen. Tot op vandaag moesten bedrijven die een geschil in het Engels wilden afhandelen naar Londen trekken of beroep doen op private arbitrage. De rechtbank is dan ook een primeur voor een niet-Engelstalig land.
