The July 2026 edition of Business Insights from Italy, published by The European House-Ambrosetti in collaboration with leading Italian institutions, presents an overview of the country’s economic performance and emerging opportunities across strategic sectors.

Trade with non-EU markets remained dynamic: in May, Italian exports to non-EU countries increased by 6.3% compared with the same period in 2025.
This month’s edition also examines the development of the data centre sector and the Italian packaging industry, two areas increasingly supported by investment, technological innovation, digitalisation and sustainability.
