Our member CRIF will take part in Forum Banca 2026 in Italy on October 6th with the session "Defending trust in the age of deepfakes: AI, digital onboarding and identity protection services". During this talk, the CRIF Executive Director Antonio Deledda and the CRIF Director Digital Innovation, Onboarding & Financial Management Solutions Antonio Minosi will discuss how AI is transforming digital identity in finance.

Artificial intelligence is transforming digital identity while, at the same time, making fraud more sophisticated through deepfakes, synthetic identities and impersonation. It is therefore essential for the financial sector to move beyond simple identity verification to verifying the authenticity of interactions, in order to ensure security, compliance and trust.

The session will also explore the growing role of digital identity protection services, from monitoring online exposure to preventing identity theft and safeguarding credentials and personal data, highlighting how innovation, security and trust must evolve together in the digital economy.

🇮🇹🇧🇪 Bringing Italy and Belgium closer, one B2B meeting at a time.

On 29 September our Brussels conference room hosted Discover Liguria: B2B Tourism Event, an afternoon dedicated to creating direct connections between Ligurian tourism operators and Belgian professionals from the travel and tourism sector.

The event brought together businesses and destination stakeholders showcasing the diversity of the tourism offer across the Riviere di Liguria area, from sustainable and outdoor tourism to hospitality, tailor-made travel and maritime experiences.

A special thank you goes to our project partners, whose collaboration made this initiative possible: the Camera di Commercio Riviere di Liguria – Imperia La Spezia Savona and its azienda speciale "Riviere di Liguria" della Camera di Commercio Riviere di Liguria - Imperia La Spezia Savona, represented by its Director Ilario Agata, for working alongside the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Belgium to bring the Ligurian tourism ecosystem directly to Brussels.

What actions can we take to make education more engaging, inclusive and responsive to young people’s needs?

The final conference of the Co.De.project, organised by the Digital Learning Network ETS - Dlearn, will try to answer this question by exploring good practices and innovative approaches to learning.

The event will address some of the key challenges facing education systems today, with a particular focus on preventing early school leaving. Discussions will explore how placing learners’ needs at the heart of educational policies and practices can help create more innovative, inclusive and engaging learning environments.

🌍 How can Europe’s inner areas become more attractive, competitive and resilient?

On 13 October 2026, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Belgium will host Abruzzo and Europe’s Inner Areas – New Strategies for Territorial Attractiveness and Resilience in Brussels.

Starting from the experience of Abruzzo, the event will explore how Cohesion Policy, territorial investment, innovation, services and infrastructure can create new opportunities for businesses, investment, talent and local communities.

The conference will feature an address by Marco Marsilio, President of the Abruzzo Region, who will share his perspective on the future of Europe’s inner areas and the role of cohesion and cooperation in strengthening their development.

The programme will also bring together representatives from the Regione Abruzzo, OECD, European Commission – DG REGIO, Amazon Italy, ANCI Abruzzo and Formez PA, creating a high-level platform for dialogue on territorial attractiveness, competitiveness and sustainable development.

🌍 BEYOND EYE lands in Singapore!

As part of the activities to promote the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs – BEYOND EYE programme, our EU Projects Officer Fatin Boualite travelled to Singapore to represent the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Belgium.

Together with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore, a dedicated information and networking event aimed at presenting the programme to local entrepreneurs who could potentially join as Host Entrepreneurs was organized.

During the evening, Fatin Boualite presented BEYOND EYE and the opportunities offered by the programme, which expands Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs to four additional destinations: Singapore, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The event also welcomed entrepreneurs who are already participating as Host Entrepreneurs, together with their New Entrepreneurs, offering a concrete perspective on how the programme works in practice.

During her stay in Singapore, Fatin also had the opportunity to visit local Host Entrepreneurs, further strengthening the links created through the programme.

A special thank you to the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore for the warm welcome and collaboration, and in particular to President Gionata Bosco, Managing Director Giacomo Marabisio, and the entire team for their hospitality and support.
