European cultural and educational network representing the interests of higher music education institutions concerned with training for the music profession. Today, the AEC includes around 300 member institutions in more than 57 countries.

💻 Join the AEC Digital Transformation Stakeholder Network
The AEC Digitisation Working Group is launching the Digital Transformation Stakeholder Network, a new space for learning, exchange and collaboration around the digital transformation of Higher Music Education.

Open to both AEC members and non members, the network brings together everyone interested in digital developments across the sector.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

💡 Exchange experiences and good practices.
🤝 Discuss opportunities and challenges related to digital transformation.
🧠 Explore topics such as AI, digital learning, accessibility, digital wellbeing and sustainability.
🌍 Contribute to the future development of AEC's work on digitisation.

The network will meet online two to three times per year, starting this autumn.

Have you already completed AEC's Survey on the Recognition of Supplementary Orchestral Practice Courses?

There is still time to contribute! We are collecting information on how Higher Music Education Institutions recognise students' participation in external orchestral and chamber music projects as part of their studies.

If your institution has not yet responded, we encourage you to take part.

Your input will help identify current practices and common approaches across the sector.

The AEC Green Travel Incentive recognises participants who choose more sustainable ways of travelling to the AEC Annual Meeting for International Relations Coordinators (IRC) 2026 in Trento, Italy.

Successful applicants will:

The AEC launched a short survey to better understand how Higher Music Education Institutions integrate and recognise supplementary orchestral practice within their study programmes.

The survey is being conducted in collaboration with the EU-funded projects Musethica (1000+ Concerts) and Fame's Institute (EUCOPSY), which explore new opportunities for students to gain valuable artistic and professional experience.
