Jessup Belgium

This is the official page of the Belgium National Rounds of the Jessup. The Jessup is the largest and most prestigious moot court competition.

Jessup is the world's largest moot court competition, with participants from over 550 law schools in more than 80 countries. The Competition is a simulation of a fictional dispute between countries before the International Court of Justice, the judicial organ of the United Nations. One team is allowed to participate from every eligible school. Teams prepare oral and written pleadings arguing both the applicant and respondent positions of the case. Thousands of law students from around the world will work all year long on the season's Jessup Problem. Most students must first compete in qualifying competitions (mostly held in January-March) to earn the right to advance to the White & Case International Rounds held every spring in Washington, D.C. A documentary film “All Rise” about the participants of the Jessup was made - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-u5Xcpa0big

ILSA must issue an important correction to the Corrections and Clarifications to the Problem. Clarification #8 had an incorrect date.

The correct date should be 20 June 2019.

Unfortunately, an earlier post had incorrectly stated that the date should be 20 April 2019. That was incorrect, and we apologize for the mistake and any confusion that that may have caused. https://bit.ly/339OtTn

MRW I think about deadlines. Today is the last day for eligibility inquiries, requests from team for corrections and clarifications to the problem, and suggestions for the second batch of basic materials.
