Hello all. This is Konstantina Pantou and i participated in the investigations of the My e-Pal project. I had a great experience in assisting with the activities with elderly people in a very warm and friendly environment. I learned a lot about communication improving my skills and also interact better with elderly. Was a unique experience.

Digital Technologies Can Help Older Persons Maintain Healthy, Productive Lives | United Nations Work, education, leisure, socializing and so many other activities take place in the digital space—wouldn’t we want to continue accessing all of the benefits of such technology as we get older?

Participants believed the workshop will improve their everyday life by stating “I learned new things”, “I acquired a new competence”, “I could browse more things on You Tube”, “I learned how to create group chats”.
An emotional response though, fully revealed the difficulty some senior adults face when it is about to start a new activity at this stage of life “I have lost the patience to learn how to use new items and I do not think it is worth it at this point, but I appreciate this moment”.
