The project was guided and coordinated over these years by
Patrick Pasture of KU Leuven, and gathered team members from 10 academic institutions and NGOs from Spain, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Finland, Northern Macedonia, and United Kingdom.

All team members celebrate reaching this milestone and at the same time we look forward to what is ahead of us, i.e. further implementation of both our educational tools in various social, ethnic and religious contexts and the policy recommendations developed by our experts

It’s Worth Asking: Religion and Democracy

The Fernando Henrique Cardoso Foundation launched its new video series “It’s Worth Asking”, with subtitles in English, available in Youtube’s settings. The videos address a fundamental topic for the future of Brazilian democracy: the relationship between State and religion.
What are the changes in the Brazilian religious landscape? How do such changes impact democracy? What is secularism? Is Brazil a secular state? We brought together nine specialists to answer these questions and more.

Quite an intensive day at KADOC KU Leuven as we went through the final review of the project. Great opportunity to summarize what we achieved and to look at challenges that are still ahead of us. Although the project is formally concluded, RETOPEA will continue to operate
