President’s word :

Dear Colleagues,
It’s a great honor for me to write you for the first time as the new President of the Belgian Society of Periodontology.
I hope that my presidency will be placed to the return to the “normal life”. We have been through some tough times and I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart Peter Garmyn. As President you have been a real example to me. We have achieved a level of excellence and your determination has led us to win the future EFP Masterclinic in 2023 which will be held in Antwerpen!
My vision is to continue to share as a community of specialists our knowledge about the impact of periodontal health and diseases on the systemic health of our patients and also to provide the best education to my colleagues in a periodontal world constantly changing. As a female periodontist my hope is also to boost the implication of female periodontists and youngest colleagues in our society and to an international level. I will face number of challenges but I know I will receive support from all of you. As final word I would say that we can look forward to the future with some optimism.
