If this sounds familiar, it’s not your data—it’s how we teach it.

This autumn, join the Trainer Development Programme: Learning Myths, Pitfalls, and Impact to bridge the gap between deep expertise and powerful education science.

🚀 From Zero Waste Cities to Zero Waste Businesses!

We just wrapped up an incredible first half of our in-person training week in Slovenia 🇸🇮. Our international mentors and auditors dived deep into our Zero Waste Cities program and they didn’t just study theory. They stepped into the field to participate in real certification audits!

A massive thank you to the municipalities of Vrhnika, Log-Dragomer, and Borovnica for opening your doors and showcasing your impressive zero waste work. 👏

Now, the momentum continues. Phase two starts today as we pivot from cities to businesses! 💼🌱

We are so excited to watch this supportive international community of experts sharpen their skills, gain hands-on experience, and take on the corporate sector next.

🤝 This training is part of our BEZWA2 project, organized in collaboration with Zero Waste Estonia, Ekologi brez meja, and Zero Waste Alliance Ukraine, with the support of Erasmus+.

Zero Waste Sardinia: How 17 Municipalities Mastered the Circular Economy 27/04/2026

From 6% to 76%: How Sardinia became a Zero Waste leader. 📈

What does it take to turn a geographical challenge into a sustainability triumph?

We recently took 17 European municipal representatives to Sardinia to witness their "Zero Waste Revolution" first-hand. Once lagging in environmental metrics, this Mediterranean island is now a global beacon of circular economy success.

Key takeaways from the tour:
✅ The Power of Policy: A "carrot and stick" system where recycling targets lead to financial bonuses.
✅ Innovation at Scale: From mobile eco-centres in tourist-heavy P**a to door-to-door collection for 150,000 residents in Cagliari.
✅ Social Impact: Closing the loop with B Corp-certified composting facilities that prioritize social cooperatives and local employment.

Sardinia proves that being an island—or a small municipality—is not an excuse. It’s an opportunity to innovate.
