Exciting progress on the DevOps Academy project! We recently gathered in Lomazzo, Italy, preparing for the next big steps in the project!

DevOps Academy is a European project co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme, with a mission to build an innovative, inclusive training programme for Sustainable DevOps professionals. Our goal: to open the doors of the tech industry to everyone, especially women, career changers, and those without a traditional IT background.

Key milestones reached:
✅ Final draft of the Competence Framework for Sustainable DevOps Professionals agreed by all partners;
✅ Training programme structure validated: a modular, progressive, ~28-week programme with two tracks (fast-track & standard) to suit different learner profiles;
✅ Training content structure defined across four pillars: DevOps Fundamentals, Cloud, CI/CD, and Automation, plus a new AI literacy module;
✅ Quality assurance and validation roadmap confirmed;
✅ Communication & dissemination strategy reviewed and moving forward.

At Odisee hogeschool, our role is to shape the training programme structure: our proposed longitudinal, part-time learning model forms the backbone of the DevOps Academy curriculum.

𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙚 𝙪𝙞𝙩𝙙𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙣? Dan heb je meer nodig dan klassieke probleemoplossing. Systeemdenken biedt een nieuwe bril om écht impact te maken.

Op maandag 11 mei neemt Dr. Prof. Bart Henssen je mee in hoe organisaties via vastgelopen situaties kunnen doorbreken. Hij laat zien hoe je met een eenvoudig causal loop diagram patronen zichtbaar maakt, verschillende betrokkenen samenbrengt en sneller tot duurzame oplossingen komt.

Tijdens deze masterclass leer je hoe organisaties via systeemdenken:

👉diverse stakeholders kunnen verbinden
👉 met causal loop diagrams meer inzicht krijgen in onderliggende dynamieken

InterGenic: Bridging Generations for a Green & Digital Future

After two years of co-creation, the InterGenic project has successfully concluded! We brought youth and seniors together across Europe to exchange experiences, learn from one another, and co-create solutions for a sustainable and digital future.

Good news: we are organising a Research Week 2026: Teach4SD EU Summit on from 9 to 11 March 2026 in Brussels (Belgium) at Odisee and are excited to invite speakers from across sectors.

This year’s theme is “Competencies for the Future”, focusing on the skills and knowledge needed for sustainable development. We aim to explore how education can prepare students and professionals for a rapidly changing world.

📢 We are currently looking for speakers who can engage and challenge an audience of researchers and educators in higher and vocational education. Contributions can include workshops, presentations, poster sessions, and more.

Eindrapport “Duurzaam van bij de geboorte: herbruikbare babyluiers” (ECOZORG)

Het project ECOZORG werd gecoördineerd door de Cluster Gezondheidszorg, opleiding Verpleegkunde binnen Odisee (Inge Tency), in cocreatie met Center for Sustainable Entrepreneurship (CenSE), AZ Sint-Lucas Gent, Daikys, CLEAF met steun van Provincie Oost-Vlaanderen

🚼 Dit project focust zich op duurzame geboortezorg, meer bepaald op herbruikbare of wasbare babyluiers in het ziekenhuis als alternatief voor wegwerpluiers om zo de ecologische voetafdruk van pasgeborenen te verkleinen.
