Heading back to work tomorrow after 10 days off avoiding the beginning of the exponential curve here in the province and jumping back into what looks like the middle of it πŸ˜”

As much as I am grateful for having the time to slow down and do all the things I never get to do when I'm working, I am equally grateful to play this role I hold within society, at the hospital.

Stay home (and avoid the 1000$ fine!) and don't forget to wash your hands!! πŸ‘ŠπŸΌπŸ™πŸΌπŸ’•

Translation: Every big dream starts with a little curiosity.

Don't be afraid of being curious, of those little impulses that strike a cord deep inside, those inklings that make you go "maybe I could..." They're tiny breadcrumbs leading you through the door of infinite potential, to the life you're longing for.

So go ahead and be curious. Let yourself wander. Follow the trail. Let yourself wonder with childlike eyes and before you know it, you'll be living the life you've always dreamed about πŸŒŸπŸ’–πŸ¦„

Flowing with your bestie is life πŸ’•

Probably one of the last times we flow side by side together. Moving differently in different ways, but somehow in sync with one another, like puzzle pieces that fit and connect to each other.

January is fast approaching. The blonde to my brunette. Or is it the other way around now that I have blond highlights? πŸ˜…

Sometimes when I teach, I feel disconnected. Either the space isn't vibing with me, sometimes the students aren't resonating with the class, sometimes I feel off. And all of that is okay. There's always something to learn and take away everytime.

But today, I taught a workshop and I never felt more at home. I was super nervous beforehand because I was tweaking my sequence for hours last night. I changed the whole thing 3 times before I just decided to get on my mat and move the way I wanted to. Because that was what I wanted for the class, for people to feel all those warm fuzzy feels of Fall but after a yummy practice.

And they got that. I felt it. Everyone was glowing and happy afterwards and in return, I was glowing back.

This isn't to diminish all my other workshops or classes that I've taught, but I feel like now I have some perspective compared to the beginning of the year, compared to my very first one.

This one was about coming back to yourself, your true self. I hope that I was able to steer them home to who they are, because teaching them certainly made me feel at home πŸ™πŸΌβ€

PS. Totally had to in Bruges. I mean... cobblestone streets and fairy tale buildings 😍 @ Brugge, Belgium

One year ago. Exactly.

I didn't know what I was embarking on. Although, some part of me knew exactly. Some part of me knew that it was going to be a life-changing experience and that I would be forever changed.

But I didn't know how deep the changes were going to be. How much I would break open. How much I would love. How much I would CRY. How many long lasting friendships I would make. How many SHARINGS I would do. How delicious the food was. That I would do these crazy things called dynamic meditations at 6AM. And enjoy the release. How many sisters I'd come back with.

How much I would love Aruba's beaches. How much of myself I needed to discover and unfold. How much I could love my body. How many beautiful sunsets I would get to witness. How many hugs I would give and get. And not those phony 3 second hugs. Those real 30 second heart to heart hugs that make you wanna cry just because it makes you feel so damn good. How much I would learn from Rachel and Lara, not just how to move through asana, but also how to move through life with everything that makes us oh so human.

But most importantly, I didn't know how much I could shine my light.

In those 23 days of YTT, I found out all of that and so much more...

It feels like yesterday and a dream at the same time. Still to this day, I think about my time there, how magical it was.

I'm so grateful, SO grateful, for that experience and will cherish it forever πŸ’–

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you x 10 000.

Where does time go?

I don't know about you but this past week flew by so quickly I feel like I just blinked and popped into this weekend.

Last weekend, I was in Toronto and now I'm about to teach my workshop and something happened between then and now but I don't know what 🀯

And it dawned on me that maybe I wasn't really present in the moment this past week. I mean I must've gone to work and ate and slept, but what else? What string of events led me to this moment today? I don't know. And where was my mind as I was moving through the week? Is this how I move through life? How we ALL move through life?

Maybe. But I'm guessing not all the time. I can tell you what happened every second of my weekend getaway in Toronto because I was so present in the now and living life. Really living. Really aware. It happens in my meditation practice, other times my monkey mind kicks in. I am present when I'm hanging out with loved ones too. Other times, I'm sure we all go into a form of automation mode.

But what if we could just be present ALL. THE. TIME. What would your life look like? Would you make sure you're living in the moment? Would you remove some of the mundane to make space for what lights you up? Would you do more things that make you feel like you're living? REALLY living?

I don't know what that life looks like for now, but I'm definitely going to move in that direction πŸ™πŸΌ
