We are excited to start preparing the second training edition of the project “Stronger EU-Jordan Ties - Capacity Building Programme”, implemented by the College of Europe and funded by the EU!
🇪🇺 🇯🇴

Building on the successful first edition, a new cohort of Jordanian diplomats and civil servants will engage in a dynamic learning journey focused on EU–Jordan relations, EU foreign policy,
diplomacy, and international cooperation through training sessions, exchanges, and networking opportunities.

It was a pleasure meeting the new participants, introducing the structure and objectives of the training programme, and we are looking forward to the exchanges and collaboration ahead.

Stay tuned - testimonials from participants of the first edition will be shared soon!

🎓 #20 🇦🇱 journalists and a representative of the Media and Information Agency completed the training programme "Reporting Effectively on the EU Integration Process", delivered by the College of Europe under the EU Integration Support Project (EUIS) implemented by DAI, Abkons Company, WEglobal and funded by the 🇪🇺.

The certification ceremony took place at the College of Europe in Tirana, in the presence of Silvio Gonzato, the EU Ambassador to Albania.

Over two days in Durrës (9–10 June), participants worked with two distinguished Croatian practitioners: Ivana Dragičević, award-winning foreign affairs journalist, and Mirna Vlašić Feketija, formerly of the Office of Croatia's Chief Negotiator.

The training focused on EU reports and benchmarks, negotiation clusters, acquis approximation, and countering misinformation, including a newsroom exercise turning reforms into public-interest stories. The programme builds on a first phase held on 3 and 5 March 2026 on EU institutions and Albania's negotiation structure.

🏛️ The closing session featured exchanges with the European Parliament's Communications team, the European Union in Albania and the Executive Education, Training & Projects Office.

As Albania advances in the negotiations, fact-based reporting remains the strongest bridge between the negotiation table and the citizens.

Congratulations to all certified participants! 👏

The College of Europe is proud to welcome for the second year the Fellows of LEAD Albania 🎓- a flagship leadership program by the Albanian - American Development Foundation (AADF).

📍This week, the Fellows followed in Bruges a tailor-made training on EU integration and its relevance for Albania. The programme includes deep dives into EU institutions and decision-making processes, the European accession framework, and even a simulation of a negotiation meeting within the EU accession process.

LEAD Albania equips future leaders with first-hand experience at the highest levels of governance.

🌍 Given the College’s growing engagement in the Western Balkans, we are delighted to continue the cooperation with AADF in support of Albania’s future leadership.

We have just tested some sessions of our new EU Skills course at the College of Europe, marking an exciting step in bringing this programme to life.

Working in small groups and in a circle format, participants engaged in open, dynamic discussions that encouraged collaboration, peer learning, and fresh perspectives. The circular setup helped create an inclusive environment where everyone could contribute, reflect, and build on each other’s ideas. These pilot sessions were a valuable opportunity to refine our approach, strengthen the learning experience, and ensure the course responds to the evolving needs of professionals working with the EU.

🚀 We are excited to continue shaping the programme of the new course 'EU Skills: the collaborative leader journey' and to welcome future participants! Join us in Bruges from 6 to 10 July !

👉 There is still time to register. Learn more about the course: https://www.coleurope.eu/training-projects/executive/eu-skills

Monitoring and evaluation are often something we learn by doing. But did you know that there are well-established methodologies and practical tools that can strengthen your approach, and that monitoring and evaluation are closely linked to every stage of the project cycle?

This week, we are happy to welcome the participants to our Monitoring and Evaluation Executive Education course here in Bruges. 🌍

During the first two days, participants explored key concepts and frameworks, including:

• The Logframe Matrix
• The EU Results Framework
• Indicators and results monitoring
• Good practices in reporting
• Evaluation fundamentals and different types of evaluation
• The building blocks of high-quality evaluations

The course is highly interactive, drawing on participants’ own professional experiences and projects. Through practical exercises and discussions, our trainers help connect real-world challenges to established EU and international frameworks.

Beyond the classroom, participants also enjoyed a sunny introduction to Bruges, including a guided city tour and a drink by the canals.

A big thank you to our excellent trainers and engaged participants for making this week such a valuable learning experience!
