Feeling proud and grateful as I travel to the beautiful Island of Wind for the 8th International Percussion Competition.
Back in 2012, I had, as a performing guest Artist for the prestigious wind festival. the privilege of encouraging and inspiring the committee to start up a Percussion competition part of their wind competition. Seeing how it has grown over the years and become an international platform for so many outstanding young percussionists is truly rewarding.
As Chair of the Percussion Discipline, jurypresident and Advisory Committee member, I look forward to reuniting with my distinguished jury colleagues welcoming talented competitors from around the world, and celebrating our shared passion for percussion.
Here’s to another inspiring edition in beautiful Jeju!
