How can the conceptual and the performative support artistic teaching?
PhD researcher Yuki Okumura invites four artists with teaching experience at art academies in Bern, Ghent, Ljubljana, and Marseille to share methods, reflections, and visions.
This event grows out of Okumura’s elective course ‘Performance’ at the , where students experiment with self-instructed simple actions - in the legacy of conceptual art, experimental music, and postmodern dance - to open up unexpected relations between self and world.

This seminar brings together artists, thinkers, and researchers to reflect on how emerging technologies challenge binary paradigms – digital/analogue, material/immaterial, real/virtual – and how such opposites may instead be deeply intertwined.
By adopting non-dual, beyond-binary thinking, we can expand both philosophically and ethically in our engagement with technology – reimagining the boundaries of art, technology, and thought.
