Visie

Alle medewerkers van de Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen waken over het rijke erfgoed van klassiek ballet en moderne dans. Deze erfenis vormt enerzijds de basis waar de toekomst van de studenten op gebouwd wordt. Anderzijds streeft de Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen naar een strategisch evenwicht tussen tradities, diversiteit en innovatie. De Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen optimaliseert op alle mogelijke manieren de werkgelegenheidskansen van de leerlingen. De Koninklijke Balletschool Antwerpen wil:

de school uitbouwen tot een excellent opleidingsinstituut op wereldniveau
dans- en podiumervaringen van leerlingen optimaliseren en maximaliseren tijdens wedstrijden, workshops, gala’s en festivals in zowel binnen- als buitenland
de carrièreplanning van leerlingen en medewerkers professionaliseren
garant staan voor een “state-of-the-art” dansinfrastructuur het uitwerken van partnerships en uitwisselingsprogramma’s met internationale balletscholen en gerenommeerde gezelschappen verder uitbreiden
een vorming aanbieden die leidt tot een diploma secundair onderwijs
de fondsenwerving en sponsoring opvolgen om haar missie waar te maken
de samenwerking optimaliseren met het Koninklijk Ballet Vlaanderen/de Vlaamse Opera
de media-aandacht voor en de publieke erkenning van de school verhogen

After three truly wonderful years, the time has come for our Artistic Director to step down from this role.

Having you as our Artistic Director has been an incredible added value to our school. Over these three years, you have accomplished many beautiful things and built a strong international network that created valuable opportunities for our school and our students.

But what we will remember most goes beyond your achievements. You were always there for our students, ready to listen, support and encourage them. Your passion, dedication and genuine care for our students and our school could be felt in everything you did.

Although you are stepping down as Artistic Director, you are not leaving our school. From the next school year onwards, you will return fully to teaching, working even more closely with our students and continuing to share your passion for dance with them.

Thank you for three unforgettable years, for everything you have accomplished, and above all, for the heart you have given to our students and our school.

We are very happy that you will continue to be part of our school community.

Last but not least: the final guest choreographer reveal for our Graduation Gala.

We are proud to present Glen Lambrecht, a former student of our school, which makes it extra special to have him back with us, with his choreography PHRASE, a piece created for B4.

As we count down to our Graduation Gala 2026, we look back on some beautiful memories from last year’s performances!

This year’s Graduation Gala will take place on 26, 27 & 28 June, and we can’t wait to share what our students have been working on.

Starting today, we will reveal one guest choreographer every week who has created a piece for this year’s performances. Stay tuned as we introduce the guest choreographers who worked together with our dance teachers to bring their creativity and vision to the stage alongside our students.

But no worries.. the wait won’t be too long.. our very first guest choreographer will be revealed tonight at 8:00 PM CEST

What a proud moment for our school!

Today, we welcomed guest, partners and members of the press to officially present the plans for our future school building.

2031 here we come!

We are so proud to announce that in 2031 our school will move into a brand-new building!

Designed by the temporary partnership TM Cuypers & Q Architecten - OYO Architects for Stedelijk Onderwijs and commissioned by Scholen van Vlaanderen. This exciting project marks the next chapter in our school’s story.

This new building will feature more dance studios, improved facilities, and the capacity to welcome even more talented dancers. We are especially thrilled that the building will include its own theater, creatief even more opportunities for artistic growth and performance.

The future is taking shape, and we are already counting down the days!
