A long time coming, and right on time.

On 23 October, Ampere joins Rawax in celebrating 15 years of the imprint by welcoming the legendary Ricardo Villalobos. A defining figure in electronic music whose influence has shaped entire generations of club culture, while remaining deliberately hard to pin down, both in sound and in presence. A name that sits outside cycles and scenes, carrying its own gravity without ever fully resolving into definition.

Ricardo Villalobos’ work as both DJ and producer follows a single internal logic that refuses separation. Across decades, releases, edits, and extended performances form one continuous practice: ideas stretched, dissolved, reintroduced, and reshaped over time. In the booth as in the studio, he avoids fixed outcomes in favour of processes that stay in motion, where detail, imbalance, and restraint become part of the same language rather than separate disciplines.

Ampere was built with artists like Ricardo in mind: spaces where long-form thinking, patience, and unpredictability could exist without compromise. Now, with the closing chapter approaching, this moment reads as something quietly circular rather than exceptional. Less a booking than a return to intent, and a sense of arriving back at something fundamental, at peace with what it has been.

A final stretch, a rare convergence. At last, he is coming.

A founding architect of house music, a storyteller behind the decks, a name etched into the very fabric of club culture. On Saturday 3rd of October, Lil Louis arrives in Antwerp for a rare and essential appearance, bridging decades of rhythm, sensuality and machine soul. From the raw pulse of Chicago to global dancefloors, his legacy is not measured in trends but in moments that shaped them.

DTM Funk operates from a similar place of intuition. A long-standing presence in Antwerp’s club landscape, moving across soul, groove and rhythm without being bound to genre, instead letting connection lead selection. Through Black Gravity and San-Kofa Rhythm, his curatorial focus extends beyond the booth: into events, dance sessions, listening spaces and conversations that explore Black club culture in all its forms. On the night, he brings that same sensibility: percussion-led flow, raw house, deep cuts and left turns, always with a dancer’s logic at the centre.

Closing the night is Pirrès, a true house head and well-known figure in Antwerp’s scene, guiding the final hours with patience, depth and a clear understanding of how to land a room.

For the house heads, the dancers, and everyone who still shows up for the groove.

After months of uncertainty, legal loops and more lawyer fees than we care to remember… we finally have clarity.

AMPERE will run until 01/01/2027.

That gives us 4 months.

After 11 years, this is our final season.

Not everything was in our control, but how we end this story is.

So we choose to celebrate it. Properly.

One last stretch of nights, music, people, and everything that made this place what it is.

Let’s make it count. Together, until the very end.

THE FINAL SEASON starts now.

“When an independent cultural organisation demonstrates over eleven years that it can transform an empty building, using its own resources and without structural subsidies, into an internationally recognised cultural ecosystem for youth, nightlife culture and urban creativity, what value do we, as a society, assign to that achievement?”

Full statement coming next week.
