Sometimes the best connections are made over a cup of coffee ☕️. It was such a pleasure reconnecting with a wonderful parent this morning after meeting at the Christmas party over the weekend.

We immediately bonded over our shared passion for Education—she's a fellow teacher, biology-trained! It’s inspiring to see how her love for science translates into her teaching, just as we at Dr Ship Tutoring believe in making complex subjects relatable and exciting.

Beyond the lab and classroom, she has a beautiful creative side, designing stunning jewellery and sharing her art on social media. It was a powerful reminder that we are all multifaceted individuals with unique talents.

At Dr Ship Tutoring, we see that in our students every day. They aren't just "math students" or "science students"—they are artists, athletes, musicians, and creators. Our tutoring is about connecting with the whole student, building on their strengths and passions to unlock their potential in all areas.

This afternoon, surrounded by the warm and festive spirit in Antwerp, I was reminded that education is so much more than what happens in the classroom. A huge thank you to the wonderful parents who opened their home for such a lovely Christmas gathering.

Our conversations over coffee and treats were a powerful reminder of why I do what I do. We didn’t just talk about grades; we spoke about the whole student—the pressure of deadlines, the challenge of finding balance, and the hope of seeing our young people not just succeed, but truly thrive.

This is at the heart of Dr. Ship Tutoring.

For my MYP and IB students, the journey is demanding. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. My service is built on the understanding that effective support goes far beyond explaining a math problem or reviewing a lab report. It’s about:
