ARGOS, the Antwerp Group for Ocular Science, was established in 2007 by Prof.

Dr. Nadia Zakaria and has focused on regenerating the ocular surface, from corneal endothelium to conjunctival epithelium.

ARGOS researchers and colleagues went to visit Anicells at the Wetenschapspark Universiteit Antwerpen. It is amazing to see their brand new facilities from the inside and what it takes in order to produce ATMPs in a safe environment! 😱

Congratulations to Nathalie Cools and colleagues for such an achievement 🏅

Since 2007, our lab was part of the Center for Cell therapy and Regenerative Medicine (CCRG) of the Antwerp University Hospital. However, ARGOS will move to the T building of the University of Antwerp to continue its research in a new laboratory.

At the moment, it is just an empty shell, but we are planning to transform this location to a state-of-the-art cell culture laboratory. We'll keep you updated!
