সুষ্ঠুভাবে সম্পন্ন হলো ইংলিশ ডিপার্টমেন্ট ডিবেটিং ক্লাব (EDDC) আয়োজিত প্রথম ব্রিটিশ পার্লামেন্টারি প্রদর্শনী বিতর্ক। 🎙️

ইডিডিসির আমন্ত্রণে সাড়া দিয়ে জেএনইউডিএস-এর চারটি টিমের অংশগ্রহণে আয়োজিত এই প্রদর্শনী বিতর্কে উঠে এসেছে যুক্তি, বিশ্লেষণ, তাৎক্ষণিক চিন্তাশক্তি ও বুদ্ধিদীপ্ত উপস্থাপনার এক দারুণ সমন্বয়।

Celebrating voices, efforts, and achievements! 🏆✨

The Prize & Certificate Giving Ceremony of the 4th & 5th EDDC Workshops and July Speakers’ Arena 2026 was successfully held today at the Department of English, Jagannath University.

The occasion was graced by Professor Dr. Tania Tahmina, Chairman, Department of English, and Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Associate Professor, Department of English, whose presence made the celebration even more meaningful.

Through the July Speakers’ Arena, young voices reflected on the spirit, sacrifice, responsibility, and aspirations associated with the July Mass Uprising, while the EDDC Workshops provided participants with opportunities to sharpen their speaking, reasoning, and debating skills.

Heartfelt congratulations to all the awardees and participants whose enthusiasm and dedication made these initiatives memorable. 💜

The 4th Executive Committee Meeting of EDDC

The 4th Executive Committee Meeting of the English Department Debating Club (EDDC) was held today at the Seminar Room, Department of English.

The meeting focused on several important decisions regarding the upcoming activities and future development of EDDC.

🔹 Prize & Certificate Giving Ceremony: The date for the Prize & Certificate Giving Ceremony of the recently organized July Speakers’ Arena-2026 was finalized.

🔹 BP Show Debate: A proposal for a British Parliamentary (BP) Show Debate was discussed, and the date for the event was finalized.

🔹 Inter-Departmental Debate Tournament: The committee discussed a proposal to organize an Inter-Departmental Debate Tournament, marking another step toward promoting competitive debating across the university.

🔹 Future Plans & Development: The committee also engaged in a general discussion on upcoming activities, organizational development, and ways to further strengthen the debating culture and legacy of EDDC.

With new plans, fresh initiatives, and a shared commitment to excellence, EDDC continues to move forward: one debate, one idea, and one initiative at a time.

ইংলিশ ডিপার্টমেন্ট ডিবেটিং ক্লাব (EDDC)-এর উদ্যোগে ২১ ব্যাচের এশিয়ান পার্লামেন্টারি ডিবেটের তৃতীয় প্র্যাকটিস ডিবেট-৩ অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে।

এবারের বিতর্কের বিষয় ছিল—
“এই সংসদ কসমেটিক অস্ত্রোপচার (liposuction, botox, body augmentation) পদ্ধতির স্বাভাবিকীকরণের জন্য অনুতপ্ত।”

সরকার ও বিরোধী দলের অংশগ্রহণকারীদের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণে বিতর্কটি সুন্দরভাবে সম্পন্ন হয়েছে।
সকল অংশগ্রহণকারীকে অভিনন্দন ও শুভকামনা।
আশা করি, এই চর্চা তাদের বিতর্কের দক্ষতা ও আত্মবিশ্বাস আরও বাড়াতে সহায়ক হবে।
